Breakfast is a hearty occasion and should keep you going until dinner time. Help yourself to a wide selection of cereals, fruit, fruit juices and yogurt followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice. Breakfast is served in the Sun Room, but on a sunny Kintyre morning, why not enjoy the fresh country air and dine “al fresco” on the Covered Porch while listening to the call of the cuckoo bird from the trees nearby. Breakfast is generally served between 8:00 am and 9:00 am although “Early Bird” breakfasts are available on request for those that need an early start. Our breakfasts are freshly cooked to order so sit back and relax and remember … good things come to those who wait.

Available on request (unless booked as part of the Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package), dining at Dalnaspidal is highly recommended and consists of a 2, 3, or 4 course menu that is changed daily offering you two choices of each course followed by tea/coffee, chocolate mints and amaretti almond biscuits. Why not experience some traditional Scottish and South African cuisine freshly prepared using quality local ingredients where possible. Attention to detail, individual candle-lit tables, stylish surroundings, excellent service and wrap around views result in a dining experience to savour and remember. Dinner is served at 7:30 pm although “Early Bird” dinners are available on request. Why not come to the Guest Lounge at 7:15 pm for a pre-dinner aperitif and snack. Although “good things come to those who wait”, we will not try your patience and therefore ask that if you are dining with us to please provide us with your dinner choices the night before.

We will try to accommodate any special dietary requirements as best we can, but we ask that you please give us prior notice at the time of booking so that we can be fully prepared.

We have applied for a Restricted Hotel Licence which means that, once granted, we will be permitted to serve alcoholic beverages to our guests. However, in the meantime, you are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine which we will be happy to chill and serve for you over dinner.

If you are going to be exploring Kintyre on foot (or even by car) we can also provide you with a Packed Lunch, Picnic Lunch or Portable BBQ and BBQ Pack at an extra charge. Please let us know at your time of booking if you would like any of these “On the Go” Meals.

How about something different? Why not dine in true South African style and have a BBQ (“Braai”) Dinner? BBQ Dinners can be prepared in our Indoor BBQ located in the Sun Room and can be requested instead of the Dinner Menu (at a small extra charge). However, in order not to subject our other dinner guests to the tantalizing smell of chops on the grill, BBQ Dinners are preferable as part of a larger group booking.
