If you prefer a quieter holiday and do not wish to travel far, the good news is that there are many ways to fill your days at Dalnaspidal Guest House.

Why not simply relax and enjoy the garden or the views from the covered porches. However, if you want to stretch your legs why not take a wander down to our water filled limestone quarry and sit and marvel at the peace and tranquillity of country life where you may catch a glimpse of Deer, Heron, Canadian Geese, Buzzards, perhaps (if you’re very lucky) the elusive Cuckoo and other feathered varieties. If you are feeling slightly more energetic, why not take a stroll around the Tangy Loop Road where you can pause a while to take in the panoramic view of Machrihanish Bay and Northern Ireland (on a clear day), or take a slight detour through the bluebell wood to the small secluded Tangy Beach, visit Tangy Wind Farm or take a stroll down to Tangy Loch. Packed lunches and picnic lunches can be arranged as well as portable BBQ’s and BBQ packs for “al fresco” dining down at the quarry.

Bird watching, walking, cycling, “wind farm exploring” and fishing are just some of the numerous activities that can be enjoyed right here on our doorstep
